CONDITIONS

”John Nettleship Video”  (or “JNV”) is the trading name of John Nettleship working as a sole trader. Extra crew members are hired in as & when required as self employed freelance contractors.
Cancellation fees may be charged when a firm booking is cancelled, particularly if alternative work has been turned down.
”Pencil” bookings are accepted on the understanding that they may be cancelled by either side without penalty. However, any expenses incurred (e.g.. hire charges) at the request of the client will be charged to the client regardless of any cancellation.
Clients are urged to send a call sheet by post,e-mail or fax to confirm bookings and to ensure dates, times, locations & kit requirements are understood. JNV cannot take responsibility for loss or delay due to misunderstandings where no clear written instructions have been issued.
All equipment is insured against loss or damage in normal use. However, if any non-insured losses occur due to the particular requirements of the client, then the client may be held liable for those losses.
Ownership of tapes & copyright of recorded material rests with JNV until all invoices are settled.
Mileage is calculated from JNV base in Leeds, unless an alternative base has been previously agreed upon  in the specific context of travel expenditure, or a “buy-out” figure has been agreed to cover travel costs.
All charges are negotiable. However, note that any extra kit used or hours worked over that initially agreed will be charged as per rate card, irrespective of any discounts applying to the core hours or kit. Similarly, when a fixed fee has been agreed to cover mileage, any variation from the original schedule may incur an extra charge at the above mileage rate.
Payment in UK Pounds is preferred. Any transfer fees, (and, if payment is not made in Pounds, then currency conversion charges as well), are the responsibility of the client.
